There are two main varieties of cherry tomatoes.

  2. Indeterminate

What is the difference between determinate and indeterminate cherry tomatoes?

The other variety is indeterminate. They are normally tall plants that can go up to 8 to 10 feet in length. These are free growing and require more space. To plant them in containers you need to choose the bigger one and proper plant support is also needed at a certain time of their growth.

Indeterminate plants keep producing fruits until frost. They are vigorous and high-yielding tomato plants. We will be learning about 22 indeterminate cherry tomato varieties that you can grow.

This indeterminate cherry tomato is indigo-colored and it turns red when it is fully ripe. The color comes from the accumulation of anthocyanin pigments. A fully grown plant is about 6 to 7 feet high and 3 to 4 feet wide.
